Scattered Sunday

People who live in the Pacific Northwest live life at a frantic pace, especially in the summer season. We as believers have recognized this fact regarding our culture and have chosen to re-purpose one Sunday per month to engage “not yet“ believers on a relational level. Each of our missional communities plans a BBQ, hike, ballgame, or other event for their community and then invites “not yet“ believers to join in and see the kingdom of God lived out before their eyes.  

Celebration Gathering

On the surface, our celebration gathering looks like what most recognize as Church. We meet to sing, pray, share and teach about Jesus and the Gospel. But In addition, we use this time to connect our missional communities and families as the Church by sharing a meal together, We spend time sharing how the gospel is changing our lives and the lives of those around us. After the meal, we gather for a second session of practical teaching and practice applying the gospel to shared situations in our lives. In conjunction with our celebration gathering, we also provide a kids gathering to aid parents in their mission of making disciples of their children.

Equip Sunday

One observation that we might take from our time in Church is that there seems to be a point that believers reach where they stop growing. Unlike most of our jobs and hobbies, there is no continual training. As a result, the church seems to become stagnant. In light of this observation, we have decided to use one Sunday per month to train disciples who are going to make disciples. This Sunday is not just for our missional Community leaders, but for anyone with a desire to become a more dedicated follower and disciple maker.
